I am a freelance Japanese to English translator with fifteen years’ experience, and a Qualified Member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting.
My main areas of expertise are:
• Technical: With extensive experience in the engineering industry, I know how important accuracy is in technical translation. I love untangling technical texts and transforming them into clear and precise English.
• Marketing: For marketing content, I focus on crafting engaging copy to get a message across to English-language audiences, taking cultural differences into account.
• Environment/sustainability: I translate sustainability and CSR reports to help companies communicate their commitment to more sustainable ways of working.
With a keen eye for detail, I also offer proofreading and revision services to produce a polished final translation.
If you are looking for a professional Japanese to English translator in any of these areas, please contact me to see how I can help you.
I studied Linguistics and Japanese at Newcastle University, followed by an MA in Translation at Durham University.
I spent three years living and working in Tokushima in Japan. I am currently based in Cullingworth in West Yorkshire.
I am a Qualified Member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting and I abide by their Code of Professional Conduct.
